Mango Season

Mango Season is a musical trio consisting of Curtis Kamiya on vocals and guitar, Annie Kamiya on vocals and percussion, and Matt Snow on vocals and bass.

We play a mixture of traditional Hawaiian music, local jams, and island vibe music. The emphasis is on lush vocals and vocal harmony, and an easy breezy feel. We can be the perfect addition to your wedding, party, or other event, as well as a great compliment to your restaurant or bar.

Please contact us about booking information. We’d love to play some music for you.

Annie Kamiya

Annie Kamiya grew up in a rural town near the Columbia River in Oregon.  She was attracted to the arts and singing at very young age, and made her musical theater debut as a lava rock in her kindergarten class' retelling of the Mt. St. Helen's volcanic explosion.  For the next 20 years, Annie performed and sang on stage in numerous theatrical productions including leading roles in The Seagull (Paulina/Singer), The Sound of Music (Maria), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Twelfth NIght (Feste/Musician) and Islands - Original Musical (Penny).  Annie is excited to be performing again with her husband/music partner, Curtis Kamiya, in Mango Season and committed to learning how to master all-things percussion.

Matt Snow

Matt Snow was born and raised on Oahu and sang in the Punahou Chorale with Curtis. He next graduated from MIT with a BS in music and environmental engineering in 2001. After venturing down different career paths over the last eight years, Matt is now committed to his first love, music. He has played bass guitar for eighteen years in bands with styles as diverse as rock, jazz, Hawaiian, and reggae. Matt began as a trombone player three years previous to the bass, and is currently the trombone player for the Ko'olau Winds, a jazz horn trio. He studied under Jim Decker, formerly principal trombone of the Honolulu Symphony.

Looking to extend his passion for playing music into the business side of things, Matt is currently designing The Snowdio, which will be a professional recording studio open for business in 2010. Matt is available for private instruction in bass guitar, trombone, or any brass instrument at the beginning level. He is also of course available for performances or recording sessions. Feel free to contact him at snowdioproductions@gmail.com or (808) 741-1079.
