What I Offer

Years of experience teaching all skill levels and age groups: I teach middle school age children (10-13) all the way up to 100 years old. I teach across multiple genres (rock, pop, jazz, blues, r and b, hawaiian, etc) and at all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). If you want to perform at a professional level, we will work towards that. If you just want to know enough to jam with your friends, we can do that too.

Convenience: I’m located right near the corner of Nu’uanu and King, just outside of Chinatown in Downtown Honolulu. I also offer off-site lessons, or in home lessons.

Several specialized courses of study: You can learn in a group context or in private lessons. You can choose from many specialized courses of study designed to achieve a certain musical goal, or you can customize to fit your needs.

You learn songs you love: I will teach you songs that you know and are passionate about, and through the learning of these songs you will learn technique and skills. I will tailor your curriculum to meet your goals.

Online teaching tools: I will provide all the music and recordings that you will need to learn. I provide them at the lesson, and you can access them via my website. On the website you can find sheet music, recordings, chord charts, scales, video tutorials, and music theory primers. This database is updated constantly with anything my students need to succeed.

First lesson is free: Your first lesson is always free. You should get a taste for what you are getting before you have to pay for it. This applies to all lessons; group and private lessons.
